Based on the GPS technology used, the position is usually correct to within approx. 5 to 10 metres. However, this data may be affected by a number of different factors. As a result, the system can never guarantee that the position is precise. Influencing factors may include the GPS reception situation as well as the mobile data connection between the vehicle and network. Reception may be impaired if the vehicle is in an underground car park, for example.
Yes, the app shows you the quickest route to your vehicle, saving you the time you normally need to find it.
Yes, the vehicle will also transmit its last parking position if you are abroad. Provided that the mobile data option is activated on your smartphone, you can check the position using the app as normal.
Please note that using your smartphone’s mobile data while you are abroad may incur high roaming fees.
Normally, the vehicle automatically sends the latest data to the Car-Net server as soon as the ignition is switched off. However, in certain circumstances, the vehicle may not have a data connection when the ignition is switched off, e.g. because it is located in an underground car park or in dense forest. For this reason, the Car-Net server may not have access to the latest data to send to the app or the Car-Net portal.
No, only you as the user are able to see the parking position.
