Frequently asked questions.

We have answered the questions most frequently asked about Car-Net for you below. Of course, you are also welcome to call us on our hotline.

1. How up-to-date are the charge status and range display shown?

The display is usually up-to-date. When you switch off the igntion, the last current status is transmitted automatically. If you would like a more up-to-date status, you can request it with the "Update" button on the web portal or app at any time.

Please note that your vehicle will use electrical energy from the 12-volt vehicle battery in order to transmit up-to-date data at the time of your request. Sending requests on a regular basis when the ignition is switched off will discharge the 12-volt vehicle battery.

To help protect the 12-volt vehicle battery, the number of requests that can be sent when the ignition is switched off is limited.

2. Does my vehicle also transmit its current charge status while it is charging?

Yes. The vehicle transmits periodic updates to the backend servers regarding the charge status, range and the remaining charge time while it is charging. To access this data, you simply have to open the Car-Net app or log in to the web portal. If you are already logged in to the app or the web portal, you simply have to refresh the page to view the updated status.

3. Can I only stop a charging process that I started on the web portal using the web portal or can I also stop the process manually?

You can also stop the process manually. Releasing the connector using the vehicle remote control will stop the charging process.

4. Under what circumstances is charging of the battery interrupted?

The charging process for the high-voltage battery is usually interrupted in the following circumstances:

- There is no power supply or a technical fault has occurred

- The automatic connector release is not working

- The charging connector is not connected or has been removed

5. The display in the vehicle is different from the display in the app. What could be the cause of this?

Normally, the vehicle automatically sends the latest data to the Car-Net server as soon as the ignition is switched off. However, in certain circumstances, the vehicle may not have a data connection when the ignition is switched off, e.g. because it is located in an underground car park or in dense forest. For this reason, the Car-Net server will not have access to the latest data to send to the app or the web portal.

6. If I adjust settings and commands using the app and then make different ones using the web portal, which ones will have priority?

The last command or setting sent will always take priority. For example, if you adjust one setting at home and then change it using your app while you are out and about, the command from the app will take priority.
